Together

This is my first tapestry and perhaps the one that means the most to me. It is directly inspired from from my painting, which shows a view of loose hanging clothes in a cabinet. I remember painting this scene, at the time it felt like an odd thing to paint open cabinets? Wow it was such a long time ago. So much love went into this piece, so much care. But, I guess people noticed because I received the award for exceptional quality in my bachelor thesis in design at the Faculty of Textile Engineering.

Dimensions of the work: height 200 cm, width 278 cm.
Woven in 2008 for the duration of 5 months.
